Same but Different: Rebecca’s Story
direction: David Barnes
An international Emmy Award -winning and BAFTA -nominated collection of eight short documentary portraits, featuring different children from across the UK that explain “what it’ is like to be me”.
The films are emotional, and insightful, and have been praised for their non-patronising approach. They convey the theme of inclusion whilst subtley educating the viewer about what it is like to live as a young person different from others.
Like many dancers, Rebecca is careful about what she eats, but not because of ballet. This 10- year- old has to manage a life threatening nut allergy.
